I want the Giants to win because I feel that if they do there will be less of a chance Peyton Manning will play for the Jets next year, thus a higher chance he will pay for the Redskins. He will get hurt on the first play of the season cus we wont have an o line, but it will be fun while it lasts.
(1) It’s nice to have the rivalry acknowledged and included in “Rivalry Week.” Not that I love endorsing ESPN’s promotional language, but it’s probably good for visibility’s sake.
(2) Guarantees we won’t have Vitale calling the game. Hoping we get Raf.
(3) We have the 7 o’clock game, and they’re at 9. The only thing that could make beating Syracuse more enjoyable would be our game running long and UNC and Duke fans having to miss the beginning of their game.
The fact that UConn vs. The Loo is the BE Big Monday matchup
Really dilutes the Rivalry Week brand. Not as much as, say, everything else ESPN has done to destroy interscholastic rivalries over the last couple of years, but still pretty bad.
if they win most of their games and make a decent run in the BET
correct me if i’m wrong, but wouldn’t the selection process take into account the fact that their starting PG was out with injury during that series of losses?
Somebody please reassure SomebodyBuyAustinaSteak's offspring that they are safe.
Judging from the resolution of these highlights, they were compiled by BigEast.tv’s offices in Tikrit…but at least they exist. So here is the most extravagantly vicious play of the season thus far – courtesy of the players who see the fewest minutes:
Also, I love the the celebratory roar from Sims (and Hollywood’s million-dollar smile) on the sidelines.
I just realized that February 8th is also the date of the next installment of The Greatest Rivalry In All of Sport. Seton Hall – Rutgers tips at 9 PM. How about that for overshadowing the Gtown-Cuse and Duke-UNC games?
Close game but not a great game. No big plays (unless you count the welker drop), no mistakes, no great runs or kick returns or punt blocks or big penalties.
best part madonna half time show which owned black eye peas from last year
Just was hoping for a bit more sizzle – a pick 6, a trick play, a fake kick, going for it on 4th down, a return, a blocked kick, an onside kick, a decent run 20 yard run, a qb scramble, something. It was just two methodical teams playing high level 7 on 7.
Brady pick was a glorified punt and did hurt them much. He throws it away there then they punt anyways. Safety was a mistake, but given it was the first play and it was a default safety it did not feel big in the moment. I meant someone losing it and starting a fight or celebratng to early and fumbling away the score.
As neutral fan, just hoping for a bit more fun. Brady can console himself by sleeping on his piles of money with his supermodel wife who has a higher net worth than him.
As a redskins fan, need to go with the team the skins destroyed twice

Good point
But as a Redskins fan I simply can’t root for the Giants. Also Coughlin went to Syracuse.

I smell ESPN conspiracy
rochesterhoya07 - February 5, 2012
ACC conspiracy
To make the Orange feel more at home. It’s cool, though, from what I hear it’s a stronger lacrosse conference.

I'm actually OK with that

In my mind they’re saying these are the two biggest intra-conference rivalries in the sport. That’s why they’re on the same night.
hoyasincebirth - February 6, 2012
Pitt-Nova
This has to be the most meaningless matchup between these teams in at least five years.
DHB Enterprises - February 5, 2012
And yet
It is another strong win for well-groomed coaching.
WarmupEwing - February 5, 2012
indeed
But a strong finish by Pitt could put them in the tournament yet. The end of their schedule is not terribly daunting.

They would definitely be ranked below Kansas next week. Two losses at home to unranked conference opponents does not a top 10 team make
